Frequently Asked Questions
YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
-
Is there any flexibility on rate? From the equipment we buy, to the high quality films we produce and the time we give, we feel our prices are extremely competitive. If your expectations do differ to what we offer, please drop us a line and let's chat!
-
How do we pay?We ask for a £200 deposit upfront to secure your date (please note that without this payment your date is NOT secured!) We then ask for 50% of your remaining balance 2 months prior to you wedding and then the remaining balance 2 weeks prior.
-
Do you travel?Absolutely. Covered in the price we can travel up to 100 miles from our base (RG12). If your wedding is more than a 100 mile round trip, then any extra mileage will be charged at £0.45p per mile. Getting married outside of the UK? No problem, our passports are up to date and ready to go. Get in touch and lets talk oversea packages.
-
When do we get our video? You will receive your trailer film 2-3 weeks after your wedding along with your instagram version. You will receive your full length wedding film within 6 months after your wedding. We do ask couples to bare in mind that in peak seasons there may be a slight delay as we do not ever rush your films - we want them to be perfect.
-
Do you put your logo throughout the film? No. We do nothing to take away from your film, however we will put a banner at the very end with our watermark.
-
Why two videographers?Having two videographers allows us a huge amount of flexibility when it comes to filming and editing your wedding day. If you think about it in the way that every one has their own unique perspective of what they see on your wedding day, it's the exact same way for us filming on your big day! Having two perspectives or camera angles allows us to build your wedding film a lot more efficiently and capture a lot more of those special moments that you might not even have noticed yourself. Having two people constantly rolling the camera means we free time up for each other to get the best possible footage that we can.
-
Will you leave early if anything runs late?Definitely not. We always stay until after the first dance otherwise we won’t be able to produce the best film for you… and we do not want that.
-
Can we change anything about our film once we receive it?Of course! We won’t be offended if once you have received your film you want to make any small changes, we want you to be in love with your wedding video. However please note that editing does take up time so if we need to make any time consuming changes we will have to add a charge of £75 per hour of editing as this eats into somebody else’s time. Please do remember though; you booked Affinity Wedding Films based on our style and the way we produce our videos - have faith in your videographers.
-
Can we meet you before? We encourage it. We love to meet our couples before booking as we love to chat through your ideas and expectations and then we can learn if we are the right fit for each other. If you decide to go ahead with us we do also like to meet before your big day, this is where we can find out all the details of the day and if either of you have booked any surprises that we need to know about!
-
Will we notice you on the day?We try and fade as much in to the background as we can however we would be lying if we said you wouldn't see us at all. To make sure we get the very best shots we will have to be around at all times however we have a very unobtrusive approach. We do also ask each couple to come with us for a very small amount of time so we can get some shots of you alone - this is normally where we get what we like to call ‘the money shots’. The best time for this is during the drinks reception.
-
We want to book a photographer as well, will this be okay?"100%. We love to meet new professionals! We play nice with others and as people in the wedding industry we understand that your photographer has got a job to do also so we always work around each other.
-
What music will you use?Due to copyright laws, our trailers and films use licenced music that we choose from our extensive music library. This is for the legal safety of both Affinity Wedding Films and also our clients. If you can have any styles/genres of music that you want to particuarly include, let us know!
-
How will we receive our film? You will receive your wedding trailer/highlight within 3 weeks after your wedding date, during peak season however this may be a tad longer. You'll receive your wedding trailer through a video delivery platform that we use called Vidflow, which allows you to download your wedding trailer/highlight directly from a specifically designed gallery instantly. Your wedding film, which will be ready within 6 months (again, in peak season this may be longer) will be delivered on your online gallery. If you would like your wedding film to be delivered on a USB, there will be an extra charge for the purchase of the USB stick.
-
You only have trailers on your page, do you have full films?"In your package you will receive a 90 second trailer, highlight and a feature film film. If you wish to see examples of our full films please do get in touch and we would be more then happy to send you some over!
-
We like what we hear, how do we book?"That’s great you want to book with us, we are delighted to be a part of your day. Please pop us over an email with all of your details and we can then get over a booking form to you so you can pay the deposit. Once we have received this - you are all set!
